The Good Snooze Slumberpod Review!

Updated: Aug 8, 2023

We tested out the SlumberPod by bringing it in on a family vacation to see if it would live up to expectations. Read below and check out our video review to see if it's a must-have travel product!

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THE SLUMBERPOD

Baby inside pack and play with slumberpod and toddler standing beside him (faces are covered)

SlumberPod is recommended for ages 4 months+ and can be used with playards (i.e. the Graco Pack n Play) and mini-cribs. It creates a blackout sleep environment for your little one, which is perfect if you are sharing a hotel room.

It looks like a tent but it is definitely NOT a tent. It is made from a polyester and spandex blend with breathable fabric. It has multiple ventilation panels that you can open and it will still be super dark inside. It has a pocket for your monitor and for a fan (purchased separately or is included with SlumberPod 3.0). It is machine-washable which makes cleaning a breeze!

Gab bought the SlumberPod for her 10-month old baby for a summer beach holiday. It is small and weighs less than 5 lbs which is great as it fits in most luggage including carry-on (as seen in our video review).

It’s great for families who are traveling and may be sharing a room with baby, or who want to ensure blackout conditions for sleep. Gab used the Nanit monitor in the pocket and the visibility was perfect (see screenshot below).

With the SlumberPod and two travel sound machines from amazon – One placed close to baby and the other close to the door to block out additional sounds – they had great sleep success!

Mission accomplished!

THINGS TO CONSIDER

Although the fabric is breathable it can get hot inside the SlumberPod. Before we adjusted the fan, our baby did wake a little sweaty. We would recommend splurging on the fan for extra airflow. We also do not recommend using the SlumberPod if you are somewhere hot with no air conditioning.

We would classify this as a NICE to have but not a must have.

The sooner you get your baby used to it, the better. If you have an older baby or toddler (2-3 years old) then I would suggest trying it before buying it.

But for $260 it may be worth having it rather than spending extra money on a hotel room while ensuring everyone gets quality sleep on holiday.

Please read the instructions and use accordingly for best results!
